Anxiety Therapy for Kids & Teens in Orange County
Integrative support for ages 4 to 18 in San Juan Capistrano
I work with kids and teens ages 4 to 18. The core of our work is rapport, trust and building a real connection, so your child feels safe enough to open up.
From there, I teach them healthy tools to process and deal with challenging emotions, build confidence and grow healthy relationships.
A Very Integrative Approach
Kids and teens don't always have the words for what they're feeling. That's why my work with them is very integrative and may include:
Whatever tools we use, the core stays the same: rapport, trust and connection, and teaching healthy ways to process challenging emotions, build confidence and build healthy relationships.
Working With Parents
I work with parents as an adjunct to the work with your child. I often meet with parents alone at the start of the session to check in on how the week has been and what we need to work on.
Sometimes I'll have parents join the session with their child. Together we:
- Build rapport and trust
- Learn healthy ways to engage with and help your child
- Practice stress management tools and techniques
- Foster healthy communication and relationships between parents and kids
I also help guide parents through how to navigate challenging things with their kids.
